How we research and review
Honeydew publishes these guides and sells one of the products we discuss. Our comparisons are written from that perspective, not by an independent review publication.
Sources before scores
We distinguish vendor descriptions from hands-on testing. A vendor's feature page supports what that vendor advertises; it does not prove accuracy, reliability, or time saved. When we describe a test or survey, we should explain its participants, method, dates, and limitations and link the supporting evidence. Unsubstantiated results should be corrected or removed.
Compare the same job and plan
Hardware, subscriptions, regions, and billing periods can change the comparison. We link official sources where possible and identify the review date. An unknown capability is not the same as an absent capability. Store ratings and our own judgments must be clearly distinguished.
Named ownership and meaningful updates
Articles name either a person or the Honeydew editorial team. A reviewed date means a substantive source or content check, not an automatic year change. Older publication dates and established URLs are retained so readers can understand the history.
Examples and demonstrations
Illustrative examples show a workflow, not a measured customer outcome. Product demonstrations should state what was supplied, what was suggested, what a person checked, and what was actually saved. Family details in examples are fictional unless identified as a consented case study.

Found a changed price, missing feature, or unsupported statement? Send the page URL, the statement, and a primary source to support@gethoneydew.app. We review corrections and update affected guides and shared references when warranted.
